JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 7, 2019) — This month Walmart and Sam’s Club are giving their customers a simple way to help Feeding Northeast Florida with the sixth annual Fight Hunger: Spark Change campaign.
The retailers are joining forces with customers and suppliers to raise meals and supplies for food banks nationwide, including Feeding Northeast Florida.
There are three ways people can help Feeding Northeast Florida. First, by purchasing a participating item at Walmart or Sam’s Club, retailers will donate one meal to Feeding Northeast Florida. A list of brands participating – including Kelloggs, Campbell’s and Pepsico – is at walmart.com/fighthunger. Shoppers can also help by buying participating brands via grocery delivery and pick up services.
In addition, customers can donate to Feeding Northeast Florida at the register during check out.
“Just one dollar will help us distribute six meals to our neighbors here in North Florida,” said Frank Castillo, President and CEO of Feeding Northeast Florida. “We’re grateful for this campaign for not only bringing much needed donations but also the awareness it brings to our cause to provide healthy, nutritious foods to those who need them.”
The campaign runs through May 20, 2019.
