Jacksonville, Fla. (June 18, 2014) – Chuck Wyckoff has been named chairman of the board of directors at Feeding Northeast Florida, the area’s new regional food distribution center.
Wyckoff has been involved in food banking for the past six years supporting the mission of feeding those in need. Now retired, Wyckoff also serves on the board of trustees of the Bolles School. Previously, he served as the chief information officer for Acosta Sales and Marketing. Prior to that, Wyckoff worked in the pharmaceutical industry with Bristol Myers Squibb and Johnson & Johnson.
Charley Moore, currently a Principal with Lagardere Unlimited, has been named vice-chair of the board. Moore, a long-time entrepreneur whose primary business interests are in growth equity investing and sports marketing/management, previously served as an advisor to northeast Florida’s Feeding America-affiliated food bank.
Susan King, the executive director for the Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry (BEAM) and one of Feeding Northeast Florida’s largest food distribution partners, has been named board treasurer. A certified public accountant with more than 30 years experience in financial management and accounting across a broad range of industries, King previously served as the vice president of finance for Parc Management, one of the largest regional theme park groups in the U.S. A resident of the Jacksonville beaches area for more than 28 years, she has served a number of local nonprofits as both a board member and volunteer, assisting at all program, fundraising and leadership levels.
Alan Wachs, a partner with the law firm of Adams and Reese LLP since 2013, has been named board secretary. Practicing law since 1993, he focuses on commercial litigation, and additionally practices in insurance coverage litigation. His achievements include holding the highest rating (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell, a national attorney rating service, repeatedly being listed named by Florida Trend magazine among one of Florida’s “Legal Elite” in commercial litigation, and being selected among Florida’s Super Lawyers in business litigation and insurance coverage. Wachs also presently serves as vice-chair of the board of Jax Metro Credit Union.
