To Discuss “Billy Horschel’s Drive Out Hunger Day”

Defending PGA TOUR FedExCup Champion Billy Horschel, resident of Ponte Vedra Beach

Billy will be available for a teleconference on Tuesday to discuss “Billy Horschel’s Drive Out Hunger Day” in Northeast Florida on Friday, when he will be riding in a Feeding Northeast Florida food delivery truck picking up ‘rescued groceries’ from two different Winn-Dixie stores and greeting employees to thank them for their involvement in hunger relief.

Noon on Tuesday, May 26

Call-in number:

Purpose of “Billy Horschel’s Drive Out Hunger Day”:
To emphasize the fight against hunger in Northeast Florida, Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown has officially proclaimed May 29, 2015 as “Billy Horschel’s Drive Out Hunger Day” – and has asked for the public’s support to raise $46,043 in one day (the amount of money it takes to feed those who rely on food banks in 17 counties for a single day).
Horschel raised $9,000 toward that amount by donating money to FNEFL for each Birdie and Eagle he made during THE PLAYERS Championship earlier this month.

Billy’s schedule on Friday:
8 – 8:15 a.m., Feeding Northeast Florida Food Distribution Center, 1116 Edgewood Ave. N.
8:15 – 8:40 a.m., Food pick-up at the Winn-Dixie Store, 1012 Edgewood Ave.
