Driver (Reefer Box Truck)

Job Description

Volunteer drivers are expected to drive food bank vehicles to make product pickups from our retail partners, as well as make deliveries to agencies and affiliate food banks. They are responsible for appropriate usage of reefer units on vehicles, keeping storage types the same per pallet and assisting in putting away inventory correctly. They are also responsible for accurately accounting for all products received; completing receiving forms for inventory documentation; as well as utilizing conscientious and safe handling of all warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, hand dollies and forklifts in order to avoid personal injury to self, others and damage to product, equipment or the facility.


  • One day a week/month – or more
  • Estimate 4-8 hours each volunteer day


  • Active CDL A or B drivers license with current DOT medical card
  • Good driving record

Equipment Skills

  • Pallet Jack (Training Provided)
  • Optional – Fork Lift (Training Provided)
