It is our belief at Feeding Northeast Florida that no one should struggle with hunger. We know our community has the resources to solve this problem. We exist to bring these resources together to meet the community’s need. We cannot thank you enough for your past support to enable this process.
As you know, we rescue food across our service area that would otherwise go to waste. That food is organized, sorted, and quickly distributed to more than 180 agencies that provide it to working families, seniors, those living with disabilities, veterans, and children who are in need.
Without your investment, this would not take place.
The need in our area is actually twice what we were able to provide last year. One-in-six people in our community alone are food insecure. That means they do not know where their next meal may come from.
The good news is the food is available. That is not our challenge. We simply have to bring the community together and we can meet this fundamental human challenge. To do this, we need to increase our funding in order to adequately address food insecurity in Northeast Florida.
Thanks to the generosity of the John P. Hussman Foundation and the board of directors of Feeding Northeast Florida, we are able to present a challenge grant of $25,000 to our supporters. For every $1 that you are willing to invest in our mission, they will match that gift by a $1. Please consider this opportunity to literally double your contribution to feed those who are hungry.
We know that you care about hungry families and children in Northeast Florida. Would you thoughtfully consider continued, or potentially increased support, to help us reach this goal?
